Position: (USA) GM Coach (Non-Complex) - WM, Management

Position Summary

Leads and develops teams effectively by teaching, training, and actively listening to associates touring stores and providing feedback. Guides communication and collaboration on store operations, technology, merchandising, and company direction. Introduces and leads company change efforts, sets expectations and guidance for business solutions and objectives.

Responsibilities
  • Models and demonstrates exceptional customer service standards to store associates by following the One Best Way (OBW) service model.
  • Manages and supports customer service initiatives, including store‑of‑the‑community programs and community outreach.
  • Drives financial performance and sales of the designated store area by reviewing and evaluating P&L statements, budgeting, forecasting, and controlling expenses.
  • Ensures effective merchandise presentation, seasonal transitions, inventory flow, and operational processes; develops and implements action plans to mitigate shrink and achieve sales and profit goals.
  • Provides supervision and development opportunities for hourly associates by hiring, training, mentoring, assigning duties, setting clear expectations, and providing recognition.
  • Builds strong and trusting relationships with key stakeholders to support plans and initiatives that meet customer and business needs.
  • Ensures compliance with company policies and procedures, supports the Open Door Policy, and applies ethics and integrity in all business processes.
  • Creates a culture of belonging by embracing differences, fostering inclusion, and providing opportunities for all associates to thrive.
  • Attracts, retains, and develops talent, recognizing contributions and accomplishments, and maintains high standards of integrity and ethical behavior.
  • Serves customers and members by delivering results, applying EDLP and EDLC business models, and making decisions based on data insights and analysis.
  • Strives for excellence by encouraging continuous learning, adopting new technologies, and supporting others through change.
Minimum Qualifications
  • 2 years of college; or 1 year of retail experience and 1 year of supervisory experience; or 2 years of general work experience and 1 year of supervisory experience.
  • For firearms facilities: successful completion of a firearms‑specific Criminal Background Check (CBC) and Firearms Authorized Training.
  • For ammunition facilities: acceptance of a current state‑issued Certificate of Eligibility.
  • Must attend and successfully complete all job‑required trainings and assessments (e.g., Academy trainings, Open Door trainings).
Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor of Science in Business Management and Leadership (e.g., Live Better U and Bellevue University).
  • General work experience supervising five or more direct reports, including performance management, mentoring, hiring, and firing responsibilities.
