Starting Rate: $20-$22/hr

Overtime:
Time and a half after 40 hrs/week; average work week 45 hours minimum

Hotel:
Covered

Housing Stipend: $50/daily if not staying in hotel and traveling out of state

Per Diem: $35/daily if enrolled in lodging & working 6+ hours

• Work with leading electrical and telecommunication companies and their utility systems to provide analysis of infrastructure.
• Inspect and catalog electrical meters to create accurate and consistent utility asset data sets for our clients.
• Provide accurate data collection/reads of electrical meters
• Safely swap old, analog electrical meters with new smart meters.
• Understand the use of document management systems, filing, and document scanning.
• Execute and plan daily goals while meeting quality, time, and budget constraints.
• Learn to identify electrical/communication utility equipment and potential hazards.
• Review and maintain effective production reports for our clients.
• Understand and comply with all safety regulations to maintain a successful safety record.
• Ability to travel throughout various service territories both within and out of state, as needed.

• Operate as a lone worker when required, demonstrating independence and self-sufficiency.
• Operate as part of a pair of technicians when required, coordinating work scheduling, hours, and locations.
• Fulfill weekly production targets to meet client expectations and timelines.
• Perform field audits of existing utility infrastructure by visually identifying, inspecting, and recording information.
• Operate hand-held computers, GPS units, cameras and other field technology.
• Accurately record field observations.
• Communicate with property owners and agencies to arrange access and work.
• Drive, operate, and maintain a company vehicle in a variety of terrains and surfaces (including ATVs).
• Read and follow maps; navigate through varied terrains and weather conditions using GPS, maps, or other methods.
• Identify unacceptable safety risk conditions and hazards related to the work environment, federal standards, and client specifications.
• Review and correct data integrity errors within the GIS Database.
• Comply with all safety regulations and meet safety requirements to complete work safely.
• Perform light maintenance on utility infrastructure, utilizing hand tools.
• Use a fiberglass measuring stick to accurately measure heights on utility poles.
• Collaborate with Project Managers, Supervisors, Coordinators, Technicians, and Administrators.
• Ensure proper care and maintenance of any vehicle and equipment, including regular inspections and prompt reporting of issues.
• React safely and appropriately in emergency situations.
• Report and respond timely and accurately to the supervisor.
• Participate in employee and professional training events as assigned.
• Travel (75%-100%) for on-site job duties.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
• Follow all company policies, procedures, and work rules.

• Ability to stand, walk, or hike for extended periods and long distances; bend, reach, and move to carry items up to 25 lbs.
• Knowledge of Google Suite (Gmail, Docs, Sheets, Presentations, Forms).
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work outside in all weather conditions and at various hours.
• High school diploma and valid driver’s license required.
• Organizational skills, excellent communication, and high attention to detail.
• Ability to work and hike in rugged terrain and inclement weather.
• Clean DMV driving record and ability to safely drive/operate a 4x4 vehicle.
• Discipline or completion of an approved apprenticeship preferred.
• Electric utility and telecommunications experience preferred.
• Prior experience working with electrical meters.

The ideal candidate would be comfortable with traveling from location to location within the client’s service territory. Candidates must be comfortable working full time with a minimum of 40–45 hours per week. Compensation based on experience. DRG…
