The Technician, Facility Services, HVAC, is responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing HVAC systems and related building equipment to ensure optimal operation and compliance with safety standards. This role involves interpreting technical documentation, diagnosing mechanical and control issues, performing preventive maintenance, and coordinating service activities using digital tools. The position requires effective communication with facility teams and adherence to company policies and regulatory requirements.

The technician supports operational efficiency through accurate documentation, participates in on-call rotations, and contributes to continuous improvement efforts within facility services.

Role summary:
The Technician, Facility Services, HVAC, is responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing HVAC systems and related building equipment to ensure optimal operation and compliance with safety standards. This role involves interpreting technical documentation, diagnosing mechanical and control issues, performing preventive maintenance, and coordinating service activities using digital tools. The position requires effective communication with facility teams and adherence to company policies and regulatory requirements.

• Install, configure, and calibrate HVAC systems, building equipment, ductwork, and control components according to technical plans and standards.
• Diagnose and resolve mechanical, electrical, and control issues affecting HVAC and facility systems to ensure optimal operation.
• Perform preventive maintenance, inspections, and repairs to extend equipment life and minimize downtime.
• Operate tools, equipment, and vehicles safely while adhering to OSHA and company safety protocols.
• Maintain accurate documentation of maintenance activities, parts usage, and work orders using digital tools.
• Communicate effectively with facility operators and management regarding service needs and status updates.
• Participate in on-call rotations and support multiple facility locations as required.

• Proven experience installing, configuring, and maintaining HVAC systems, including ductwork and control components.
• Ability to interpret technical schematics, layout plans, and documentation to ensure accurate and code-compliant installations.
• Skilled in diagnosing and resolving mechanical, electrical, and control system issues affecting HVAC equipment.
• Knowledge of preventive maintenance practices to extend equipment life and minimize downtime.
• Familiarity with OSHA standards, safety protocols, and proper use of personal protective equipment.
• Competence in using digital tools for work order management, scheduling, and documentation.
• Effective communication skills to collaborate with facility operators and team members.
