Location: Park City, Utah
POWDR isseekingafull-time, year-round Staff Accountant to join our Accounting team! This position will report to the Accounting Manager and provide general accounting best practices and GAAP to our accounting transactions.
We are seeking a hybrid arrangement; as such, this position willberequiredto belocatedwithin the Park City, UT area. Weare not able tooffer a permanent 100% remote option.

POWDR also owns Woodward, an experiential action sports company dedicated to empowering and inspiring the next generation through dynamic programming, innovative environments, and passionate people. Woodward’s footprint includes camps, mountain experiences, and mountain centers across North America.
Beyond the mountains, POWDR offers a diverse collection of adventure experiences; from Sun Country Tours in Oregon and Powder bird heli-adventures to Zion Mountain Ranch on the east side of Zion National Park. POWDR also operates Stovepipe Wells in Death Valley National Park and Zion Lodge in Zion National Park under long-term concession agreements with the National Park Service.
Key ResponsibilitiesMaintainaccuratefinancial records and prepare financial statement sin accordance withGAAP.
Assistin the monthly and annual close processes, including account reconciliations and journal entries.
Monitor and analyze financial performance,identifyvariances,and provide recommendations.
Answer accounting and financial questions through research and interpreting data.
Develop and implement accounting procedures by analyzing current procedures.
Assist with audits by preparing necessary documentation for auditors as required.
Protecttheorganization’svalue by keeping information confidential.
Enhance job knowledge byparticipatingin educational opportunities, reading professional publications,maintainingpersonal networks, and participating in professional organizations.
Other ad hoc duties as assigned.
Skills and Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required.
Up to 2 years’ experience in the accounting/finance field, preferably in the hospitality or outdoor recreation industry.
Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel;proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Net Suite, Coupa,Flo Qast) a plus.
Strong understanding of accounting principles, practices, and financial reporting.
Demonstration of solid business acumen and ability to dig into financial details with a big picture perspective.
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills for working with employees at all levels of the company.
Honest with the highest integrity; ability to handle and manage confidential information, in a fast paced, potentially high-pressure environment.
Follows established policies and procedures and is supportive of core values.
Comfortable to challenge established policies and procedures. Consistently follows through and is highly responsive.
