The Golf Shop Attendant will be responsible for running the day-to-day shop operations at The Hills Course at Promontory Club. The shop attendant services the membership to ensure an exceptional golf experience and reports to the Head Golf Professional.
Responsibilities- Member Relations
- Checking in golfers and billing
- Merchandise sales and organization
- Phone and verbal communication
- Assistance with events
- Assist golf professionals with the tee sheet
- Be in possession of the daily tee sheet and monitor for updates throughout the shift.
- Open communication with golf professionals and outside services.
- Keep the retail shop neat and clean at all times.
- Fold and restock all merchandise when needed.
- Correctly charge members and guests for their rounds of golf.
- Follow all opening and closing procedures.
- Follow all company safety and security policies, report accidents, injuries, and unsafe work practices to management, and complete safety training and certifications.
- Maintain a professional appearance and attitude at all times.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Head Golf Pro.
High school diploma or general education degree (GED) equivalent is preferred; must be at least 16 years of age.
Experience- Excellent oral communication skills.
- Self‑motivated with a desire to promote and a service‑ and customer‑focused attitude.
- Enthusiastic, outgoing attitude and personality, patient and non‑combative.
- Organized and able to work in a busy environment where priorities change.
- Team player and professional.
Abide by Promontory policies and procedures and submit ideas for possible revision; work independently with little supervision; be courteous and helpful with Promontory Club members and employees; practice proper and timely communication among all golf department personnel and keep members satisfied and well informed.
Physical RequirementsMust be able to stand on feet for long periods of time; able to spend time outdoors in varied weather conditions; capable of lifting 30 lbs regularly and up to 60 lbs occasionally; willing to work various hours, nights, holidays, and weekends as needed; authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.
