Position
Location:
Park City, Utah. This full‑time, year‑round Staff Accountant will work under a hybrid arrangement and report to the Accounting Manager. The role supports general accounting best practices and GAAP for POWDR’s accounting transactions.
- Maintain accurate financial records and prepare financial statements in accordance with GAAP.
- Assist in the monthly and annual close processes, including account reconciliations and journal entries.
- Monitor and analyze financial performance, identify variances, and provide recommendations.
- Answer accounting and financial questions through research and data interpretation.
- Develop and implement accounting procedures by reviewing current practices.
- Assist with audits by preparing necessary documentation for auditors.
- Protect the organization’s value by maintaining confidentiality.
- Participate in educational opportunities and professional organizations to enhance job knowledge.
- Complete other ad hoc duties as assigned.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- Up to 2 years’ experience in accounting/finance, preferably in hospitality or outdoor recreation.
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
- Proficiency in accounting software such as Net Suite, Coupa, or Flo Qast.
- Strong understanding of accounting principles, practices, and financial reporting.
- Demonstrated business acumen and ability to analyze financial details with a broad perspective.
- Excellent analytical, problem‑solving, and communication skills for working with employees at all levels.
- Honest with the highest integrity and able to manage confidential information in a fast‑paced environment.
- Follow established policies and procedures, while supporting core company values.
- Comfortable challenging policies and procedures when appropriate.
- Consistently follows through and is highly responsive.
- Balances personal time and work.
