Engineering Manager
Provide visionary leadership to the engineering team, setting technical goals, and ensuring the successful execution of projects. Oversee the maintenance and repair of building systems, equipment, and facilities to ensure optimal functionality and compliance with safety standards. Develop and manage the engineering department's budget, controlling costs, and allocating resources efficiently to achieve organizational objectives. Collaborate with other departments to develop and implement strategic plans for facility improvement, energy efficiency, and technological upgrades.
Ensure compliance with relevant building codes, safety regulations, and environmental standards, and oversee inspections and audits to maintain a secure and compliant facility. Leading and supervising a team of engineers, including scheduling, performance evaluations, and training. Fostering a culture of safety and compliance with all relevant regulations. Overseeing daily maintenance activities, including preventative maintenance schedules for all hotel systems (HVAC, electrical, plumbing, fire safety, etc.).
Responding to and resolving emergency maintenance issues promptly. Coordinating with outside contractors for complex repairs or renovations.
5 years operating experience in the engineering department of a hotel or closely related industry. Certified in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering, preferred. Must have proven experience and a solid understanding of plumbing, HVAC, electric, spa and pool utilities, and carpentry. Experience in maintaining state and federal health and safety regulations. Experience in completing administrative tasks, including reporting, budgeting, project management, etc.
