A leading global manufacturer in the industrial components sector is seeking a Process Quality Engineer to support plant-level quality initiatives and serve as a key liaison between internal teams and customer quality requirements. ABOUTTHE ROLE
The Process Quality Engineer plays an essential role in supporting product and process quality across manufacturing operations. This position is responsible for customer‑plant interface, maintaining compliance with quality standards, supporting root cause and corrective action processes, and driving continuous improvement initiatives. The role also contributes to statistical methods implementation, audit activities, procedure development, and quality systems enhancements aligned with industry standards.
Key Responsibilities- Act as the primary liaison between manufacturing, quality, and customers regarding specifications, requirements, and quality‑related concerns
- Review customer complaints and returns; perform analysis and recommend corrective actions
- Utilize and present statistical data to support quality improvement programs across the plant
- Assist in conducting internal quality audits and systems assessments
- Update and enhance quality assurance procedures, documentation, and processes
- Collaborate with engineering and sales on product application and quality issues
- Drive improvements in testing methods, tools, and equipment using statistical approaches
- Support development of efficient testing processes for new product lines
- Conduct process audits and daily evaluations to ensure compliance and product quality
- Provide support to the Quality Department to maintain efficient operations
- Address urgent issues as they arise with flexibility and responsiveness
- Travel as needed to suppliers and customers to address quality concerns
- Perform additional duties as assigned by quality leadership
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Industrial, Metallurgical Engineering, or related field
- ASQ certification preferred
- Minimum 5 years of experience in manufacturing
- Working knowledge of quality systems, ISO/IATF standards, and automotive/industrial quality principles
- Experience in product and process failure analysis
- Familiarity with quality methodologies (SPC, TQM, Kaizen, DOE, etc.)
- Strong problem‑solving achievements with production teams
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
- Excellent verbal communication, presentation, training, and leadership skills
- Experience in fastener or metal component manufacturing is a plus
The expected salary range for this position is $80,000 to $85,000 per year
.
The role is also eligible for annual merit increases based on company and/or individual performance.
Actual compensation offered will depend on experience, skills, and qualifications.
