JOB SUMMARY

The Education Manager leads the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of MDRT's year-round learning initiatives. Serving as an adult learning and instructional design expert, this role works to create relevant experiences. Develops, implements and manages online learning offerings and other educational programs; serves as staff liaison to assigned committees; leads strategic education projects; and supervises the learning management system administrator.

RESPONSIBILITIES Learning Development and Instructional Design
  • Lead the design, development, implementation, and improvement of year-round learning offerings.
  • Apply adult learning and instructional design principles to online courses and other educational programs.
  • Advise internal teams on learning design best practices, including support for Academy Skill Bites and other educational initiatives.
  • Establish content development standards, templates, review processes, and quality expectations.
  • Use learner feedback, participation data, and program results to recommend improvements.
  • Manage planning and delivery of learning offerings.
  • Evaluate opportunities for new products, formats, pathways, and delivery methods. Monitor program performance and learner engagement and recommend actions for improvement.
Committee and Volunteer Leadership
  • Serve as staff liaison, guide volunteers in identifying needs, topics, subject matter experts and lead committee planning.
  • Program and Project Management.
  • Manage educational initiatives from concept through evaluation.
  • Manage project plans, timelines, budgets, resources, risks, and deliverables.
  • Prepare reports and presentations.
  • Lead cross-functional projects and process improvements that advance Education department priorities.
Learning Operations and Technology
  • Oversee learning operations in partnership with the LMS Administrator.
  • Use reporting and analytics to inform program decisions and support a positive learner experience.
Strategic Education Initiatives
  • Help implement recommendations from education research, learner needs assessments, consultant engagements, and strategic planning.
  • Lead or support new education initiatives.
  • Supervise, coach, and develop assigned staff; establish priorities, expectations, and accountability.
  • May travel domestically and internationally to support educational programs and organizational initiatives.
REQUIREMENTS
  • Experience using e-learning authoring tools such as Articulate Rise and Storyline.
  • Strong knowledge of adult learning, instructional design, learning assessment, and learner engagement.
  • Experience developing educational content across online, virtual, audio, and blended formats.
  • Ability to translate organizational priorities and learner needs into practical learning solutions.
  • Strong project, budget, vendor, committee, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Excellent written and oral communication, facilitation, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple complex priorities in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
  • Working knowledge of learning management systems and learning technologies.
  • Occasionally works early mornings, evenings, or weekends based on program and committee needs..
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
  • Bachelor's degree in education, instructional design, learning and development, adult education, organizational development, or a related field, or equivalent relevant experience.
  • Minimum five years of related experience in education, instructional design, learning and development, professional development, or a related field.
  • Experience developing and managing learning programs, working with subject matter experts, and leading multi-stakeholder projects.
  • Experience supervising staff preferred. Association, volunteer committee, LMS, credentialing, or global audience experience preferred.
