Illinois Bone & Joint Institute - Rehabilitation Technician (Part‑Time)
We are seeking a dedicated Rehabilitation Technician to join our Park Ridge location. This role offers the chance to gain experience in an orthopedic physical and occupational therapy setting while supporting our orthopedic care team.
Job SummaryA rehabilitation technician works under the supervision of the general technician supervisor and team management. The primary goal is to support clinic staff in delivering high‑quality patient care and exceptional customer service, thereby improving patients’ quality of life.
Essential Duties- Provide excellent customer service and clear communication to therapy patients, therapists, physician staff, and clients in a fast‑paced orthopedic rehab office.
- Perform daily clinic maintenance – clean treatment tables and equipment, replace linens, and stock supplies.
- Keep exercise equipment orderly and out of the way to maintain safe conditions.
- Carry out daily, weekly, and monthly maintenance checks to stay compliant with IBJI guidelines.
- Support therapists by assisting with exercise programs, setting up equipment and modalities.
- Communicate observations to the therapist throughout a patient’s exercise program.
- Assist clinicians in patient care as needed.
- Print home exercise programs under the clinician’s direction.
- Maintain inventory of both clinical and non‑clinical materials.
- When utilized for front‑desk tasks, perform clerical duties such as checking in patients, scheduling appointments, collecting co‑pays, scanning documents, and answering the phone.
- Provide daily support to rehabilitation staff and management.
- Adhere to HIPAA guidelines, protecting patient identity.
- Work with patients of all ages and diagnoses, maintaining a positive clinic attitude.
- Demonstrate professionalism with prompt attendance and flexibility within established hours.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
- At least 16 years of age.
- Currently enrolled in or a graduate of high school.
- Minimum of 12 hours of availability per week.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks and work under pressure.
- Detail‑oriented with effective time management.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficient with Windows, MS Office, and email.
Salary: $15.00 – $16.00 per hour.
