Nursing Assistant (CNA) – Respiratory Intermediate Center – Part Time (7p-7a)

Advocate Health Care is hiring a Nursing Assistant (CNA) for our Respiratory Intermediate Care Unit at Advocate Health Lutheran General Hospital in Park Ridge, IL.

Base Pay Range: $20.40 /hr – $30.60 /hr

Shift Details:

• Scheduled hours: 24 hours per week
• Nights, 12‑hour shifts
• Part‑time
• Rotating weekends and holidays

Job Summary: Provides basic, quality patient‑focused care in a clinical setting under daily direction and supervision of a Registered Nurse in accordance with state regulations. Performs delegated tasks that support an environment of patient care and ensures patients and families are treated with dignity and respect.

Required Qualifications:

• High School Graduate, GED, or HSED
• Valid CNA certification in good standing with the state registry
• CPR/BLS certification issued by the American Heart Association
• Basic computer skills
• Excellent oral and written communication
• Excellent organizational skills and ability to set priorities
• Physical ability to sit, stand, walk, lift, squat, bend, twist, and reach above shoulders; lift up to 35 pounds without assistance; use patient‑handling equipment when required
• Functional vision and hearing
• Willingness to use foot pedals on carts or machines
• Ability to wear protective clothing as necessary for exposure to hazards and blood/body fluids
• Must be willing to use equipment necessary to perform the job and operate all equipment required
• Must be prepared to perform other related duties as needed
