Support the care team by performing clinical and administrative tasks that are vital to patient care. Medical Assistant sand Licensed Practical Nurses must adhere to all relevant regulations and guidelines to ensure patient safety and confidentiality. They are expected tomaintaina high levelof professionalism and compassion during all interactions.

We’re Looking For:
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Completion of an accredited or approved program in Medical Assistant, or 2 years of verifiable full-time experience as a Medical Assistant within the last 5 years.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification issued by the American Heart Association (AHA) needs to be obtained within
45 day sunless department leader has determined it is not required.

Hours:
Monday - Friday 7:30am - 5:30pm
Schedule: per diem position;
Can work only in the AM and/or Full Day Shifts
May travel to Hoffman Estates and Park Ridge, depending on departmental needs, will reimburse for travel.
As a
Medical Assistant
,you’llplay a vital roleinthe care team – supporting providers, connecting with patients, and helping ensure a seamless, compassionate experience every day.
As a key member of the ambulatory care team, you will:
- Welcome patients and support their transition into care.
- Take and record vital signs, medical histories, and health screenings.
- Prepare patients for exams andassistproviders during procedures.
- Administer medications and vaccines as directed.
- Perform lab-related tasks including specimen collection and point-of-care testing.
- Document care accurately in the electronic health record.
- Partner with physicians, nurses, and teammates to deliver high-quality, coordinated care.

Physical Requirements and Working Conditions
- Must be able to sit, stand, walk, lift, squat, bend, reach above shoulders, and twistfrequentlythroughout the workday.
- Must be able to lift and support the weight of 35 pounds in handling patients, medical equipment, and supplies.
- Must be able to: push/pull with 30 lbs. of force and perform a sliding transfer of 150 lbs. with a second person present.
- Must have functional speech, vision, hearing, and touch withabilityto use fine hand manipulation skills for IV insertion and other procedures/functions.
- Maneuver foot pedals on carts or machines.
- Perform physical safety interventions such as patient restraint and verbal de-escalation, if needed.
- May be exposed to chemical and hazardous waste as well as blood and body fluids and communicable disease. Therefore, protective clothing and equipment must bewornas necessary.
- Must be able to respond quickly to changes in patient and/or unit conditions.
- Physical Abilities Testing may be required.
- Additional department specific physical requirements may beidentifiedfor unique responsibilities within the department by the nurse leader.
