Project Manager, Packaging Engineer

This Project Manager will take full ownership of custom print and packaging projects from concept through completion. Once work is awarded, you’ll build and manage detailed project plans covering timelines, budgets, materials, proofs, production, and delivery. You’ll partner closely with structural design, prepress, press, finishing, and shipping teams to ensure projects are delivered on time, on budget, and to the highest quality standards.

This is a hands‑on role requiring time on the manufacturing floor (approximately 30%) and close daily interaction with department leaders.

• Manage custom print and packaging projects end‑to‑end
• Develop project timelines, pricing, budgets, and material plans
• Oversee proofs, documentation, production flow, and shipping
• Collaborate with prepress, pressroom, die cutting, stamping, and finishing teams
• Troubleshoot production issues and maintain clear cross‑functional communication

• 3–5+ years of project management experience in printing or packaging manufacturing
• Strong knowledge of lithographic, offset, or sheetfed printing (digital alone will not be sufficient)
• Experience with premium packaging and finishing:
  SBS, folding cartons, foil stamping, die cutting, UV coating, specialty finishes
• Hands‑on manufacturing floor experience and comfort leading cross‑functional teams
• Self‑starter who thrives in a fast‑paced, high‑performance environment

• Degree in Printing, Packaging, or Graphic Communications
• Experience with luxury or high‑end custom packaging
• Familiarity with Monarch software
