Registered Nurse (RN) – Neurology Clinic (Park Ridge)

Advocate Health Care is seeking a Registered Nurse for our Neurology Clinic in Park Ridge. This full‑time role offers a base pay range of $32.45 per hour to $48.70 per hour.

• Engage in unit councils, professional governance, and quality initiatives to improve care processes and apply evidence‑based practices.
• Utilize the nursing process to assess, plan, diagnose, implement, and evaluate nursing care, engaging patients and families through the continuum of care.
• Monitor patient conditions, adjust care plans, mobilize resources, and collaborate with the care team to influence outcomes.
• Uphold and promote a culture of safety.
• Continuously evaluate patient, team, and unit outcomes, taking action as needed.
• Administer medications, treatments, and therapies safely per clinical protocols.
• Demonstrate effective communication, feedback, and conflict resolution, fostering team collaboration and appropriate delegation.
• Pursue professional development, complete required education, and maintain certifications.
• Adhere to the ANA Code of Ethics, practice ethical decision‑making, respect interdisciplinary roles, and contribute to integrated, unbiased patient care.
• Delegate appropriately to other RN, LPN, and UAP.
• Maintain accurate, timely EHR documentation.
• Float to other units, departments, or facilities within the service area as needed.
• Apply age‑specific knowledge and skills appropriate for patient population.

• Education: Graduate of a Board of Nursing approved nursing education program.
• Certification / Registration / License: Basic Life Support (BLS); active, unrestricted RN license (multi‑state compact or single‑state) with practice rights where the RN provides services. Telehealth nurses must hold license in client’s state.
• Experience: Typically requires 1 year of clinical nursing experience.
• Knowledge / Skills / Abilities: Strong clinical judgment, critical thinking, time management, prioritization, problem‑solving, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, ability to work in fast‑paced environment, proficiency with computer functions.

• Ability to sit, stand, walk, lift, squat, bend, reach, and twist frequently.
• Lift and support 35 lbs and perform 30‑lb push/pull and 150‑lb sliding transfer with second person.
• Functional speech, vision, hearing, and fine hand manipulation.
• Maneuver foot pedals, perform patient restraints and de‑escalation.
• Potential exposure to hazardous waste, blood, and communicable diseases; protective clothing required.
• Respond quickly to changes in patient or unit conditions; physical testing may be required.

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN).

Licensed nurses practicing via telehealth/telenursing/virtual modalities are required to be licensed or hold the privilege to practice in the state(s) where the client(s) is/are located. Licensed nurses are responsible and accountable for knowing, understanding, and practicing in compliance with the laws, rules, regulations, and standards of practice of the state(s) where the client(s) is/are located.
