Overview

The Director of Sales Planning will lead all Sales Planning activities to support PIM Brands.

Pricing & Promotion
  • Recommend trade funding allocations, monitor trade spending nationally, develop and manage overspend process
  • Using Exceedra, ensuring field team enters valid programs properly
  • Vet out incremental programs and make recommendations to senior sales leadership
  • Identify and recommend most profitable programming based on brand/sales strategy
  • Issue promotional guidelines
  • Manage off shelf programming process from a national perspective including corrugate off‑shelf merchandising (temporary shippers, counter displays, etc.) and permanent merchandising
  • Assist in determining price recommendations and communication
  • Include tracker to manage activity
New Item Commercialization
  • Assist in launch forecast
  • Create and maintain launch tracker
  • Assist in creating priority list inclusive of New Items
  • Manage customer timelines for launches
Forecast Planning
  • Manage communication to field sales on forecasting changes (cuts, etc.)
  • Provide input and make recommendations to sales team on forecast adjustments based on performance analytics
  • Work closely in collaboration with supply chain
  • Field sales link to supply chain
Sales Administration
  • Manage price list file for organization and sales usage
  • Ensure all invoice/check request processing is completed for sales
  • Collaborate with sales and legal to keep contracts up to date & maintain key sales documents
  • Manage all synchronization tools (e.g., 1worldsync)
  • Populate distributor sales and commissions reports including spins
  • Manage product & display directories for sales usage
  • Create and manage fact sheets
  • Ensure new item packages are sent to suppliers (IRI, Syndigo, etc.)
  • Telus tool administration and TPM training
  • Keep up to date line review and reset tracker as well as distribution tracker
Communication Lead for Sales
  • Weekly announcements
  • The Sales Hub
  • Corporate announcements
  • Disseminate distributor/wholesaler reporting
  • Create and maintain shipment reporting process
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business or related field
  • 8 or more years of sales planning experience required
  • CPG industry experience required, with food or beverage preferred
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to meet deadlines
  • Self‑motivated and bias for action
  • Ability to successfully work cross‑functionally and manage third‑party vendors
  • Strong leadership with courage, drive, and discipline to execute
  • Strong analytical and reporting skills
  • Proficiency in MS Office, SAP, IRI, database information sources, and web applications
  • Approachable, authentic, and genuine
  • Demonstrate personal and professional values, being a role model & positive influence on those around them; demonstrates unquestionable integrity and character
Worksite

The role requires working on-site:
Monday through Friday. Work remotely once per month on a Friday. Ability to travel up to 15% within the U.S. to brokers, planning meetings or conferences. Summer Fridays between Memorial Day weekend and Labor Day weekend.
