Controller, Accounting, Financial Reporting

Salary: $125,000 - $150,000 annually (depending on experience)

Overview

Since 1999, Accelerated Services has been a trusted leader in the car hauling and transportation industry, providing reliable vehicle transportation solutions nationwide. As we continue to grow, we are seeking an experienced and results-driven Controller. This key leadership role will be responsible for ensuring accurate financial reporting, overseeing month-end close processes, maintaining strong internal controls, and providing financial insight that supports strategic business decisions and long-term growth.

• Lead and manage the month-end close process to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting.
• Prepare and deliver internal and external financial reporting packages.
• Conduct technical accounting research and implement new accounting standards as needed.
• Develop, maintain, and strengthen internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure financial integrity.
• Support financial planning and analysis activities that drive strategic decision-making.
• Oversee sales tax, use tax, and excise tax filings, while coordinating with outside tax advisors.
• Coordinate annual audits and serve as the primary contact for external auditors.
• Supervise Accounts Payable staff and ensure efficient invoice processing and payment activities.
• Identify opportunities to improve processes, reporting, and operational efficiency.

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance.
• Minimum of 5 years of progressive accounting experience.
• Strong knowledge of financial reporting, accounting principles, and internal controls.
• Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Excel and experience using Microsoft Office applications.
• Exceptional attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to interact effectively across all levels of the organization.

• Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation. (Strongly preferred)
• Experience working in transportation, logistics, trucking, or related industries.
• Prior leadership or supervisory experience.

This position requires regular in-office attendance at our Englewood, Colorado office.
