The Administrative Assistant supports the daily functioning of Leman Academy by greeting and directing visitors, managing communications, maintaining security, and providing clerical support to staff. This role requires strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work independently while upholding school policies.

Essential Functions andMinimum Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; one year of post‑secondary education preferred.
- CBI Fingerprint Clearance / Background and Criminal History Clearance.
- First Aid and CPR Certification.
- Bilingual preferred.
- At least 2 years of experience in a school setting or equivalent office experience.
- Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Ability to build relationships with scholars, parents, co‑workers, and the public.
- Conflict resolution skills with humility and service orientation.
- Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and maintain accuracy.
- Working knowledge of Google Suite, Microsoft Office, and related software.
- Familiarity with student accountability systems (e.g., Work Day, Power School).
- Proficiency with office equipment (fax, copier, computer).
- Knowledge of efficient filing systems.
- Answer and manage incoming calls; take and relay messages.
- Receive and interact professionally with parents, students, and visitors.
- Greet visitors by name when possible.
- Collect driver’s licenses for campus entry and monitor access.
- Maintain security awareness and monitor visitor access.
- Direct individuals to appropriate destinations.
- Provide general administrative and clerical support.
- Prepare and edit correspondence, communications, presentations, and reports.
- Assist in enrollment processes, maintaining the student database/files.
- File and retrieve documents and reference materials.
- Collect fees and issue receipts for extra‑curricular activities.
- Assist staff with copying and other classroom preparation.
- Schedule appointments.
- Monitor and maintain office equipment.
- Oversee and control office inventory.
- Maintain appearance and organization of the front office.
- Accepts direction and constructive criticism.
- Cooperates with fellow workers and other departments.
- Follows school policies and safety rules.
- Demonstrates a professional appearance daily.
- Shows willingness to work as a team player.
- Exhibits strong organization, time management, and follow‑up skills.

Salary Range: $20.35 – $33.48 per hour
