Purpose Statement
Crossroads Community Church seeks to transform lives through loving relationships with God, each other, and those who don’t know Jesus yet.
Position SummaryThis position is responsible for oversight of Saturday Children's Ministry programming for all utilized Children’s Ministry environments, including SPED. It requires recruiting, training, scheduling, implementing and evaluating all aspects of the ministry. In addition, this position also serves as a back-up for Sunday Children’s programming.
General QualificationsMinimum/
Preferred Experience:
At least 2 years’ experience managing people; ministry experience is preferred.
Minimum/
Preferred Education:
High school diploma required. College degree in Christian education, children’s ministry or a related field preferred.
Employment Status: Part time
Employment Classification: Non-Exempt
Hours· 8 hours per week; with additional hours seasonally (i.e., Crossroads Kids Camp, Joining Crossroads, holidays and special events as assigned)
Weekly check-in with supervisor and possible team meeting attendance
Saturdays required with time-off considered (generally 1 Saturday off per month)
1 Sunday per month
Some weekly hours may be completed from home as agreed upon
Specific Responsibilities, Principal Duties and Responsibilities- Being attentive to God first, family second and work duties within the boundaries of balanced need,
- Praying for and with workers, volunteers, families, congregants, CCC staff and their families
- Attending a weekly worship service as regularly as possible
- Genuinely caring for and maintaining knowledge of the Children’s Ministry Team, Staff and families of CCC
- Contribution to the ongoing improvement, development, and positive support of the Children’s Ministry.
- Ensure correct quantity and quality staffing for programming per Camps utilized
- Schedule and direct program volunteers and staff for and during Saturday programs. The Director of Children’s Ministry (“DCM”) will oversee administrative management functions of staff
- Ensure curriculum and associated supplies are placed in Camp(s) and Lead teachers have advance copy/knowledge of lessons. Teach lessons if necessary
- Manage check-in systems for programs, including adding new and editing existing individuals
