FOSS Swim School is opening a new location in Parker, CO in August 2026. We are currently accepting Swim Teacher applications to start our interview process in early June.

Training Commitment & Schedule

To set our Swim Teachers up for success, FOSS provides structured, cohort-based training focused on our Swim Path Curriculum. This training is designed to build both teaching skills and team connection, and consistent attendance is expected. New hires must be able to commit to one full cohort and attend all scheduled sessions.

  • Cohort 1:
    June 29 - July 20 (excludes July
    4)
    • Mon & Wed: 3:30pm - 7:30pm
    • Sat: 8:30am - 12:30pm
  • Cohort 2:
    July 21 - August 8
    • Tue & Thu: 3:30pm - 7:30pm
    • Sat: 8:30am - 12:30pm
  • Cohort 3:
    August 10 - August 29
    • Mon & Wed: 3:30pm - 7:30pm
    • Sat: 8:30am - 12:30pm
Position Purpose

As a FOSS Swim Instructor (actual title is Swim Teacher), you will make memorable moments for children of all ages by teaching life-swim skills in a fun, splashy, and safe environment.

Have a passion for water? Come share your love of swimming with your community and FOSS will provide you with the training to confidently teach our Swim Path curriculum. This position allows you to lead the students in a structured, yet fun water-environment to develop their life enriching skills to provide a lifetime of confidence and safety around water.

Our Learn to Swim program gives you the opportunity to instruct a variety of ages and skill sets to make swimming a safe and enjoyable sport. Bring your ability to improvise, play, and connect because laughter is an important part of our teaching method.

Job Type

Part-time (minimum 12 hours / week)

Shift Type
  • Weekday Evening Shifts (starting around 3:00pm or 3:30pm)
  • Weekend Shifts (includes additional $3.00 / hour pay)
  • Substitute Shifts (includes additional $1.00 / hour pay)
Main Responsibilities
  • Manage a class of 1-4 students by providing hands‑on swim instruction (following the FOSS Swim Path curriculum), promote swimmer safety, and teach life-enriching skills.
  • Ensure a safe, engaging, and educational experience for students, similar to working in daycare or childcare settings.
  • Build partnerships and interact with the student’s parent or guardian on their progress.

Qualifications
  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • Comfortable working in a pool setting.
  • Work a minimum of 12 hours per week.
  • Positive attitude and high energy.
  • Practice good communication skills.
  • Experience interacting with children is preferred.
  • Aquatic background is preferred.
