Responsible for instructing students using the plans created by the classroom teacher

Requirements

• Educational Level: Minimum of a Bachelor's Degree
• Certification/License
  
  Required:
  
  Colorado/other state Teaching Certificate, CDE Sub License preferred
• Experience:
  
  Prior teaching/classroom experience preferred.
• Physical
  
  Activities:
  
  General physical demands such as sitting, walking, outdoor supervision.
• Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
  Strong classroom management skills required, strong written and verbal communication skills, knowledge of Google Suite and the ability to operate computer/office equipment.

Essential Duties

• Work in the absence of the teacher to aid students in understanding content/subject matter.
• Follow procedures, lesson plans and curriculum as designated by the classroom teacher.
• Utilize classroom management skills to maintain a productive, healthy learning environment.
• Enforce and comply with administration policies, rules and safety procedures set by the school.
• Use computers, audiovisual aids, and other equipment and materials to supplement teaching.
• Maintain confidentiality per FERPA.
• Oversee students outside of the classroom including in the hallways and cafeteria.
• Take attendance and document daily notes.
• Ensure the classroom is kept clean and orderly.
• Create a summary of the day for the teacher for when he/she returns.

Anticipated compensation: $160 per full day, $80 per half day (less than 4 hours). PCK Substitute Rates are based on market pay and are subject to change.
