Job DescriptionResponsible for instructing scholars using a classical model combined with data‑driven decision making. Create daily lesson plans, participate in professional training, meet with Administration and PD team, work with grade‑level teams, and collaborate on common unit assessments.
Line of AuthorityReports directly to the Principal; works closely with Vice Principal, Deans, Professional Development team, and Leman District Team.
Qualifications /Minimum Requirements
- Minimum Bachelor’s Degree and passing scores on Colorado Educator Proficiency Assessments or a Colorado Teaching Certificate.
- DPS Fingerprint Clearance Card / Background and Criminal History Clearance.
- First Aid and CPR Certification.
- Knowledge of the Common Core Standards (2020 Colorado Academic Standards) or willingness to learn.
- Knowledge of the Classical curriculum and learning or willingness to learn the Classical model.
- Knowledge of mathematical concepts and experience with Saxon Math programs.
- Knowledge of Charlotte Mason’s educational philosophy and methodology or willingness to learn.
- Knowledge of MAP Online Instructional Improvement and Instructional Effectiveness System (ATI) or willingness to learn.
- Knowledge of the Institute for Excellence in Writing/Fix‑It Grammar and Memoria programs or willingness to learn.
- Proven leadership ability promoting collaborative decision making.
- Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Commitment to classical education principles.
- Knowledge of pedagogy, instructional methodology, curriculum development.
- Ability to manage conflict resolution with humility and service.
- Knowledge of Data‑Driven Instruction model or willingness to learn.
- Professional use of office equipment.
- Physical ability to lift boxes and move items.
- Establish and enforce rules and procedures for responsible behavior.
- Observe and evaluate scholars’ academic performance, behavior, and social development.
- Prepare materials and instructional resources based on the classical model.
- Adapt teaching methods to meet scholars’ varying needs.
- Plan scholar activities that promote engagement and rigorous academic content.
- Instruct using whole class, small groups, and individual techniques (EEI, Direct Instruction, Socratic Teaching, Cooperative Learning, Inquiry‑Based Learning, Discovery Learning).
- Collaborate with Special Education Instructor on subject matter and skills for special needs scholars.
- Provide assistive devices and supportive technology.
- Prepare and plan for ELL strategies under guidance.
- Develop curriculum maps and establish clear objectives aligned to standards.
- Grade classwork/homework and maintain scholar data books.
- Conduct formative assessments and analyze results.
- Consult with parents/guardians, teachers, and administrators to resolve behavioral and academic issues.
- Maintain accurate scholar records.
- Guide scholars with social adjustment or academic problems.
- Implement interventions for struggling scholars.
- Use technology and equipment to supplement lessons.
- Prepare and submit weekly lesson plans.
- Collaborate on program development and evaluation.
- Prepare reports on scholars as required.
- Organize and lead physical, mental, and social development activities.
- Attend professional development and training workshops.
- Plan and supervise field trips and experiential activities.
- Volunteer coordination and managing teacher assistants.
- Assist with cafeteria and hall monitoring, drop‑off/pick‑up supervision.
- Acquire, inventory, and maintain classroom supplies.
- Sponsor extracurricular activities.
- Maintain FERPA confidentiality.

Salary Range: $61,328.62 – $84,429.21 annually
Additional Stipends May Be Available.
