Assistant Preschool Teacher

Reports To:

Preschool Director

Primary Function:
Supervise preschool students and support classroom teacher.

Hours:

M-F; 7:30 a.m.

- 4:00 p.m.

Start Date:

Anticipated mid to late August

Anticipated Salary: $22.40 lead certified ($20.16 not lead certified)

Requirements

Educational Level: High School Diploma/equivalent

Certification/License:
Early Childhood Teacher Qualification preferred

Experience:

Previous experience with children 1+ years

Physical

Activities:

Able to pick up children weighing between 30-40lbs

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
Ability to assist cheerfully

Essential Duties

• Prepare materials for daily lessons
• Assist with classroom management and strategies
• Assist with behavior guidance and redirection
• Oversee small groups within classroom
• Administrative duties as needed
• General supervision of children in the classroom and on the playground
• Establish positive rapport with parents
• Assist and maintain the organization and cleanliness of the preschool classroom

Anticipated Salary and Benefits

The anticipated starting pay rate for this position is $20.16-$22.40 depending on experience and skill level.
