Primary Function:
Responsible for instructing students using the plans created by the classroom teacher in kindergarten through 8th grade

Hours:

Sub assignments will vary
- School hours are Monday
- Friday, 7:30 a.m.

- 4:00 p.m.

Anticipated Salary: $160 per full day or $80 per half day substitute assignment

• Educational Level: Bachelor's Degree preferred, however non-degreed applicants may be considered based on experience
• Certification/License:
  Colorado/other state Teaching Certificate or Substitute License preferred
• Experience:
  
  Prior teaching/classroom experience strongly preferred.

  General physical demands such as sitting, walking, outdoor supervision.
• Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
  Strong classroom management skills required, strong written and verbal communication skills, knowledge of Google Suite and the ability to operate computer/office equipment.

• Work in the absence of the teacher to aid students in understanding content/subject matter.
• Follow procedures, lesson plans and curriculum as designated by the classroom teacher.
• Utilize classroom management skills to maintain a productive, healthy learning environment.
• Enforce and comply with administration policies, rules and safety procedures set by the school.
• Use computers, audiovisual aids, and other equipment and materials to supplement teaching.
• Maintain confidentiality per FERPA.
• Oversee students outside of the classroom including in the hallways and cafeteria.
• Take attendance and document daily notes.
• Ensure the classroom is kept clean and orderly.
• Create a summary of the day for the teacher for when he/she returns.

The  substitute pay rate is $160 per full day (more than four hours) and $80 per half day (four hours or less). PCK Substitute Rates are subject to change and can be found on our website.
