Relays information with the billing department. Writes and tracks technical appeal letters. Reviews medical records to determine the accuracy of billing through verification of coding, billing, and supporting clinical documentation. Coordinates all activities associated with insurance carrier audit requests. Works with payers to ensure timely handling of payer audits. Reviews technical payer denials and determines whether an appeal is justified. Conducts audits to ensure accurate charge capture.

Enhances reimbursement and identifies savings potential. Collaborates with various departments to gather necessary documentation and information. Ensures compliance with all relevant regulations during the audit and appeals process. Communicates effectively with insurance companies to resolve denials and appeals. Monitors the status of audits and appeals to ensure timely resolution. Other duties as assigned.

• Diploma Nursing [Required]

• A minimum of 1 year or relevant experience [Required]
