Overview
As a Junior QA Analyst at our Fortune 500 client, your primary responsibility will be conducting Wifi testing across different IoT devices to support new roll outs and upgrades. This role is ideal for someone eager to learn, explore new technologies, and grow within a dynamic environment. You’ll work closely with senior engineers to ensure quality and performance for products like routers, streaming devices, gaming consoles, and smart home technology.
Key Responsibilities- Perform manual testing on IoT devices, Wi-Fi routers, gaming consoles (Xbox, Play Station), streaming services, and mobile devices.
- Validate firmware updates, new product releases, and feature rollouts.
- Assist with defect management and documentation of test results.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to troubleshoot and resolve issues.
- Maintain curiosity and continuously learn new tools and technologies.
- Conduct end-to-end testing of wireless networks to optimize customer experiences.
- Utilize Splunk and other troubleshooting tools to identify and resolve network issues promptly.
- Stay updated on computer networking fundamentals and different WiFi standards to enhance testing procedures.
- Assist in testing activities and contribute to the improvement of testing processes.
- Demonstrate a fast learning ability, eagerness to learn, and proactive questioning to continuously enhance skills and knowledge.
- Communicate effectively with team members and stakeholders to provide status updates and gather insights for problem-solving.
- Degree in Computer Science or completion of a bootcamp
- Proficiency in computer networking fundamentals.
- Understanding and experience with Linux operating system.
- Basic testing knowledge or experience (preferred but not mandatory).
- Excellent troubleshooting and triaging skills.
- Ability to learn quickly, ask insightful questions, and communicate effectively.
- Passion for learning new technologies
- Previous experience with testing methodologies.
- Familiarity with various wireless testing tools and equipment.
- Knowledge of scripting languages for automation tasks.
- Hands-on experience with Splunk for troubleshooting network issues.
