Overview
Position Title: Aggregate Facility Manager
Location: Lamar, CO
Role OverviewWe are hiring a senior operations professional to oversee aggregate production activities at a large-scale materials site in southeastern Colorado. This individual will take full ownership of day-to-day plant and pit performance, with a strong emphasis on safety, production efficiency, equipment reliability, and team leadership.
ResponsibilitiesThis section consolidates the core duties implied by the role, including site-wide oversight of operations and leadership to drive safety and performance.
Qualifications- Extensive background in aggregate processing operations
- Strong technical understanding of crushing, screening, and wash plant systems
- Proven ability to improve plant performance while maintaining strict quality standards
- Solid knowledge of sand and aggregate mining and raw material production
- Demonstrated success enforcing safety programs and regulatory compliance
- Effective communicator with strong leadership, planning, and people-management skills
- Experience managing operational budgets, purchasing, and site-level financial controls
- Track record of anticipating challenges and resolving issues before escalation
- Strong time-management skills with the ability to prioritize independently
- Comfortable making decisions in fast-changing field environments
- Proficient with digital tools, tablets, and standard business software (Microsoft Office)
- Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record
- Willingness to work flexible schedules, including nights and weekends
- Spanish or other bilingual capability is advantageous but not required
