Plant Operations Manager

Overview

Position Title: Aggregate Facility Manager

Location: Lamar, CO

We are hiring a senior operations professional to oversee aggregate production activities at a large-scale materials site in southeastern Colorado. This individual will take full ownership of day-to-day plant and pit performance, with a strong emphasis on safety, production efficiency, equipment reliability, and team leadership.

• Extensive background in aggregate processing operations
• Strong technical understanding of crushing, screening, and wash plant systems
• Proven ability to improve plant performance while maintaining strict quality standards
• Solid knowledge of sand and aggregate mining and raw material production
• Demonstrated success enforcing safety programs and regulatory compliance
• Effective communicator with strong leadership, planning, and people-management skills
• Experience managing operational budgets, purchasing, and site-level financial controls
• Track record of anticipating challenges and resolving issues before escalation
• Strong time-management skills with the ability to prioritize independently
• Comfortable making decisions in fast-changing field environments
• Proficient with digital tools, tablets, and standard business software (Microsoft Office)
• Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record
• Willingness to work flexible schedules, including nights and weekends
• Spanish or other bilingual capability is advantageous but not required
