About the RoleAs the Assistant Contract Maintenance Manager
, you will play a key role in overseeing daily operations, supporting complex facilities management functions, ensuring compliance with all regulatory standards, and leading a diverse workforce. Your expertise will directly support essential medical facility operations—helping ensure a safe environment for staff, patients, and visitors.

What You’ll DoSupport the Contract Maintenance Manager in overseeing facility operations, maintenance, and repair activities within a healthcare business-occupancy environment.
Lead and mentor a diverse workforce responsible for maintaining commercial building infrastructure systems.
Coordinate and supervise work related to HVAC, electrical, plumbing, mechanical, and life-safety systems.
Ensure full compliance with all applicable regulations, including TJC, NFPA, EPA, OSHA
, and contract-specific performance requirements.
Participate in inspections, audits, safety reviews, and Environment of Care activities.
Assist with planning, scheduling, and execution of preventive and corrective maintenance tasks.
Support documentation, reporting, and communication requirements across the contract.
Partner with internal teams, medical facility staff, and external vendors to ensure seamless operations.
Promote and uphold a culture of safety, professionalism, and continuous improvement.
Must have Craftsman Trade in one of the following areas:
Maintenance, Plumbing, HVAC, etc. This is a working position.
To be successful in this role, applicants must meet the following minimum requirements:
Three (3) years of experience in operations and maintenance within a business-occupancy medical facility.
Five (5) years of experience servicing and/or renovating commercial buildings.
Experience supervising a diversified workforce responsible for O&M of commercial building systems.
Strong technical background in Healthcare Facilities Management
.
Familiarity with applicable codes and standards including:
TJC (The Joint Commission)
NFPA (National Fire Protection Association)
OSHA (Occupational Safety and Health Administration)
Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English proficiently.
Preferred QualificationsFormal training related to The Joint Commission’s Environment of Care (EOC) and Life Safety Code (LSC) standards.
Experience coordinating compliance programs within a medical environment.
Strong communication and leadership skills with a commitment to excellence.
