Medicine Specialties

Full Time, 0.9 FTE; 72.00 hours per pay period (2 weeks)

Day and Night Rotation

$35.29 - $54.71 per hour, dependent on experience

• Graduate of an accredited or state board of nursing approved Registered/Professional Nursing program
• State licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN)
• Basic Life Support (BLS) Healthcare Provider certification
• Relevant life support certification as determined at position level
• Minimum 6 months of nursing (RN) experience
• Valid BLS or CPR card (American Heart Association or American Red Cross) with card in hand before start date; card must be valid through 60 days of hire

• Provides top‑scope practice in direct patient care utilizing the nursing process
• Values a multidisciplinary team approach to achieve exceptional outcomes
• Prioritizes wellness, patient perspective and evidence‑based practice
• Models proficiency through precepting those new to healthcare and/or UCHealth
• Welcomes new knowledge in a fast‑paced, innovative clinical environment
• Contributes to secure safety and quality at the point of care

Direct care includes specialty Acute Care (Med‑Surg) units of moderate to high patient acuity. AMSN’s core curriculum and various specialty certification standards are included in evidence‑based care models for each unit. Clinical Educators support and guide individualized specialty education and training for competency validation throughout clinical orientation.
