ESSENTIAL

JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Maintains a clean work environment. Performs general cleaning duties, including clearing and sanitizing tables.
  • Regular and reliable attendance is a fundamental requirement of this position. Employees are expected to be punctual and consistently present during their scheduled work hours to ensure the effective and efficient operation of the business.
  • Fosters good working relationships with guests and employees.
  • Wears and maintains all uniforms properly, including nametag. Must wear a gaming license if in possession of one.
  • Takes customer orders accurately and serves food and beverages promptly.
  • Regularly checks up on customers to ensure they are satisfied. If needed, offer refills.
  • Performs sidework, including stocking condiments and paper products.
  • Operates a brewer to prepare coffee for guests.
  • Delivers excellent customer service. Makes guests feel welcome and want to return.
  • Answers questions that guests may have regarding menu options or general information about the Home Cafe.
  • Follows established security protocols to ensure that the restaurant work environment is safe.
  • Maintains alertness for the performance of all responsibilities and a general awareness of restaurant operations at all times. Keeps the supervisor informed of any concerns.
  • Performs duties in compliance with the Colorado Limited Gaming Act, internal policies and procedures, safety standards, and health standards.
  • Performs other duties, including special projects, as needed and directed.

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:

Demonstrated hands‑on hospitality, hosting, or serving experience, preferably within a gaming environment. Demonstrated experience performing within specific deadlines or under pressure. Demonstrated experience in problem‑solving, organizing, and prioritizing work.

EDUCATION AND/OR

EXPERIENCE:

Graduation from high school or equivalent. One (1) or more years of recent and related experience.

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS: Successful completion of Bloodborne Pathogens and hazardous material training.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Essential duties involve performing physical exertion, including frequent brisk walking, climbing stairs, bending, stretching, reaching, pushing, kneeling, squatting, crouching, stooping, and standing for an entire work shift with standard breaks. Essential duties require lifting trays containing food and lifting up to 30 pounds to stack, store, or move kitchen, restaurant, or general office supplies and equipment. Essential duties involve a flexible workweek with additional hours routinely required.

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS

$11.79 per hour plus tips.
