Job Duties
- Maintain and clean the donation trailer/pod at the beginning and end of each shift.
- Appear neatly and cleanly dressed per the Salvation Army dress code.
- Assist donors with removal of donated items from their vehicles and provide receipts.
- Maintain all reports and paperwork as instructed by the supervisor.
- Separate and sort donated material into the proper containers and stack appropriately.
- Assist TSA drivers/PAs with loading donations onto trucks as needed.
- Inform the supervisor of needed items before running out of supplies such as brooms, receipts, totes, carts, etc.
- At shift end, secure and lock the area.
- Maintain good working relations with property or store managers.
- Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned by the supervisor.
The position is primarily outdoor but may also be indoor. The environment includes noisy background and exposure to outdoor elements such as air dust, debris, dirt, etc.
Qualifications- High school graduate or equivalent required.
- Ability to communicate effectively with employees and donors.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Customer service experience preferred.
- Ability to sit, walk, stand, bend, squat, climb, stoop, crouch, kneel, and twist on an intermittent or continuous basis.
- Ability to lift, carry, reach, push, and pull.
- Ability to lift, push, or pull up to 25–50 pounds with or without assistance.
- Ability to perform various repetitive motion tasks.
