Fire Alarm Service Technician (Permanent)

Salary: $25 - $48 per hour

Location:

Construction industry – serving commercial and residential buildings.

This role is hosted by Maria Ardon and requires a dedicated professional with strong problem‑solving skills and a keen eye for detail. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in fire alarm service, including expertise in video surveillance, access control, installation, NICET certification, CSA compliance, and troubleshooting. A minimum of five (5) years of experience in a similar position is required.

• Install, service, and troubleshoot fire alarm systems in commercial and residential buildings.
• Conduct regular inspections and maintenance of fire alarm systems to ensure optimal performance.
• Respond to emergency calls for fire alarm malfunctions and perform necessary repairs.
• Program and test fire alarm systems, ensuring compliance with safety standards and building codes.
• Integrate access control and video surveillance systems with fire alarm systems.
• Provide technical guidance and recommendations to clients regarding system installation and maintenance.
• Collaborate with team members and stakeholders to ensure seamless project execution.
• Stay abreast of the latest trends and technologies in the fire alarm service industry.
• Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures during work execution.

• Minimum of five years of experience in fire alarm service and maintenance.
• Proficiency in video surveillance, access control, installation, and troubleshooting.
• Certification in NICET and CSA required.
• Strong understanding of fire alarm systems, including design, installation, and functionality.
• Excellent problem‑solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot and repair system malfunctions effectively.
• Solid understanding of building codes and safety standards related to fire alarm systems.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to explain complex technical details to non‑technical clients.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Willingness to respond to emergency calls outside regular work hours.
• High level of physical fitness, including the ability to lift heavy equipment and work in confined spaces.
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
