HSE Officer – 2nd Shift

For the 2nd shift, we are looking for an experienced HSE Officer who supports and monitors the safe execution of construction activities. You are actively present on site and work closely with construction management, supervisors, and contractors.

• Conducting field inspections, safety walks, and targeted checks during the 2nd shift.
• Ensuring the correct application of PTW, LMRA, toolbox talks, TRA/JSA, and project safety procedures.
• Monitoring high-risk activities such as lifting, scaffolding, hot work, confined space, excavation, and electrical activities.
• Coaching teams and supervisors on safe behavior and immediately stopping or correcting unsafe situations where necessary.
• Registering and following up on safety observations, near misses, incidents, and corrective actions.
• Supporting shift coordination and participating in relevant construction/HSE meetings.
• Monitoring housekeeping, access, barricading, PPE, and general site discipline.
• Preparing clear HSE reporting and handover to the next shift.

• Experience as an HSE Officer, Safety Supervisor, or Safety Advisor in industrial construction.
• Good knowledge of contractor safety, work permits, and practical risk management.
• Strong communication skills, assertive, and visible on the work floor.
• You work in a structured manner and are able to monitor multiple active work fronts.
• Willingness to work structurally in the 2nd shift.
• Good knowledge of English;
  Dutch is a strong asset.

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Safety Science, Prevention, or a technical field

Experience: Minimum of 5 years of HSE in industrial construction

• VCA-VOL required or project equivalent.
• Prevention Advisor Level 2 or an equivalent safety qualification is highly desired.
• ATEX awareness is a significant asset.
