Travel Telemetry RN - MedSurg & Cardiac Observation

Job Summary

Travel Nurse RN – DOU (Direct Observation Unit) located in Parkersburg, West Virginia. 13‑week contract, 12‑hour night shifts (7 pm–7 am) with weekends scheduled. 36 hours per week.

The Registered Nurse will provide comprehensive care to patients in the Medsurg and Cardiac Observation Unit, managing pre/post catheterization patients, chest pain rule‑outs on heparin drips, and other cardiac‑related conditions. The nurse will be responsible for monitoring cardiac rhythms, administering medications, and ensuring the overall well‑being of patients in a fast‑paced environment.

• Perform EKGs, bladder scans, FSBS, and vital signs monitoring.
• Administer and monitor patients on set‑rate Cardizem and Amiodarone drips.
• Read and interpret cardiac strips and cardiac rhythms.
• Collaborate with Charge Nurse and Nurse Aides to provide high‑quality patient care.
• Document patient care and interventions using the EPIC charting system.
• Participate in unit orientation and training for new team members.

• Active RN license.
• BLS & ACLS certification required.
• Experience in reading cardiac strips and administering Cardizem and Amiodarone drips.
• Experience with TR Bands is a plus.
• Ability to care for high‑acuity patients.
