Registered Nurse – ICU

ICU Nurse

Provide specialized critical care nursing services in a busy ICU unit, ensuring the highest level of patient safety and comfort. Manage complex medical conditions and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver comprehensive care.

Responsibilities:

• Administer and titrate vasoactive medications and sedation protocols according to physician orders.
• Monitor and interpret patient vital signs, including reading telemetry strips and responding to alarms promptly.
• Perform procedures such as central line care and removal, as well as managing ventilators, CRRT, and other critical care equipment.
• Collaborate with RTs and physicians to optimize patient outcomes, especially for patients with sepsis, COVID, and other critical diagnoses.
• Document patient progress accurately in electronic health records and adhere to unit policies.
• Float to step-down and Med Surg units as needed to support staffing and patient care demands.

Qualifications:

• Valid RN license with a minimum of 1 year of critical care experience.
• Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required.
• Demonstrate proficiency with CRRT, IABP, ventilators, and vasoactive drug administration.
• Prior travel experience preferred, with ability to adapt quickly to new environments.
• Competent in performing line placements and removals, medication titration, and patient assessment.
