Registered Nurse

Seeking a highly skilled Registered Nurse to provide comprehensive care on a busy Med Surg and cardiac observation unit specializing in telemetry monitoring. The ideal candidate will possess strong clinical skills in interpreting strips and managing set-rate drips, ensuring optimal patient outcomes.

Responsibilities:

• Assess and monitor patients, including reading and interpreting telemetry strips.
• Administer and manage set-rate infusions of Cardizem and Amiodarone, as well as occasional drips such as Bumex and Lasix.
• Perform duties such as EKGs, bladder scans, FSBS, and all vital signs while supporting patient activities.
• Respond to clinical needs, including providing support to patients on Bipap or Cpap, and assist with equipment setup and patient care.
• Collaborate with charge nurses and house supervisors to coordinate patient care and ensure unit efficiency.
• Adhere to safety protocols and infection control procedures, maintaining compliance with hospital policies.

Qualifications:

• Valid RN license and current unexpired driver’s license.
• BLS and ACLS certifications required.
• Minimum of 1 year of medical-surgical experience with a focus on cardiac telemetry.
• Ability to read and interpret telemetry strips accurately.
• Experience with set-rate drips of Cardizem, Amiodarone, Bumex, and Lasix preferred.
• Strong communication and critical thinking skills.
