** As an Infrastructure Cloud Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in the operation, maintenance, and development of the University of Melbourne Research Cloud. You will work closely with teams across Research Computing Services and Business Services to ensure integrated service delivery and infrastructure development. Your technical expertise will contribute to improving automation, security, and systems management, ensuring efficient utilisation of resources and effective communication with researchers and stakeholders.

** Create and maintain clear, accurate, and useful documentation for colleagues and users to facilitate effective system management.

*** Have experience with Open Stack and creating monitoring scripts for Grafana/Graphite.
* Possess good knowledge of scripting languages such as bash or Python and automation tools like Puppet and Ansible.
* Demonstrate good written and verbal communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team.
* Have a strong understanding of networks, including firewalls, subnetting, VLANs, and routing.
* Exhibit good problem-solving skills and judgement in complex environments.

** Manage Cloud Operations:
** Oversee day-to-day tasks within the University of Melbourne Research Cloud, including system upgrades, patches, and monitoring capacity and performance.
** Enhance Infrastructure Development:
** Contribute to planning, extending, and improving cloud infrastructure while collaborating with cybersecurity to mitigate security incidents.
