  • Part time 0.4 EFT 12 month fixed term role

  • $111,930 per annum (pro-rata for part time) + salary packaging + super + 5 weeks annual leave

About the team

The Clinical Education Program supports the hospital to achieve its strategic directions by the provision of frameworks for the professional development of health professionals. The Clinical Education Program supports the growth and maintenance of the future nursing and midwifery workforce through coordination of the nursing and midwifery student, graduate, and specialty post-graduate programs.

About the role

The Clinical Support Midwife Nurse (CSMN) is a dual registrant midwife Nurse who provides clinical and mentoring support to all members of WEC. The CSMN acts as a resource person, and role model in the context of contemporary, professional midwifery and nursing. The CSMN will play a key role in supporting the Graduate Programs and other post registration programs.

A regular day will see you:

  • Provide direct clinical support to all learners in WEC with a focus on staff in their early career years
  • Facilitating clinical learning, guiding, supporting, and evaluating nurse midwives across the continuum of care
  • Supporting the competency requirements of our nursing and midwifery workforce as outlined in the credentialing scope of clinical practice nurses and midwives guideline
  • Building capabilities and confidence within practice for all learners
You’ll bring with you:
  • Registration as a midwife and a nurse
  • Current RANZCOG FSEP accreditation as a Level 3 Practitioner
  • Extensive post registration consolidation
  • Demonstrated understanding of current evidence-based midwifery and nursing practices
  • Advanced clinical practice skills
  • Demonstrated ability to create positive learning environments for learners at all levels
