Provides licensed nursing services to residents and may require supervision of other staff positions.
Responsibilities- Responsible for medication administration for residents in compliance with Federal & State regulations.
- May be responsible for admissions of new residents, including all admission assessments and documentation.
- Responsible for completing service plans.
- May be responsible for clinical system tracking (i.e., wounds or infection control) under the direction of the Director.
- Provide general consultation regarding health‑related concerns within the community.
- Ability to communicate effectively and efficiently when listening, speaking, reading, and writing.
- Notify physicians and/or family of any change in resident’s health and provide proper documentation.
- Respond quickly to all emergencies.
- Work as part of a team and handle multiple tasks safely and effectively while maintaining close communication with all departments and staff members.
- Provide educational meetings for residents and staff and attend all required training, in‑service and staff meetings.
- May provide oversight and direction for care staff.
- Understand role in the Safety & Disaster Plan.
- Maintain confidentiality of residents’ and prospective residents’ information.
- Strive to maintain a safe working environment through prevention of accidents, preservation of equipment, and achievement of safe working practices.
- Maintain a positive and professional demeanor toward residents, visitors, families and co‑workers.
- Adhere to all policies and procedures of Morningside Elite Management.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Must be a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) of the state. A Bachelor’s Degree from a four‑year college or university; or one to two years of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Must be CPR certified or willing to become certified.
