Instructional Aide
Under the direct supervision of a site administrator and assigned to certificated staff, an Instructional Aide assists in providing instruction to a diverse range of students or small groups of students; assists the classroom teacher in meeting the needs of targeted students, supervising the classroom and playground activities of students; assists the teacher in the preparation of instructional material; relieves the teacher of routine clerical and instructional duties;
and performs related work as required.
Requirements / Qualifications
High School Diploma or equivalent. Completed at least two years (48 units) of study at an institution of higher education and/or A.A. degree or higher. One (1) year experience in working with school-age children in an organized setting.
