Position Description

The Airports Department located at the Fresno Yosemite International Airport (FAT) is hiring temporary field and office work positions with duties such as providing airport safety and security duties, checking badges for entry into secured locations, and general clerical and office support. Work schedules vary according to department operations and needs. Temporary employment shall not exceed 2,080 hours within two fiscal years;

may not exceed 29 working hours per week or, if working up to 40 hours per week, may not exceed 120 days. These temporary employment opportunities do not provide health benefits or retirement and are not a guarantee of permanent employment.

• Must be 18 years of age or older and possess a valid California Driver’s License.
• Ability to work in adverse conditions on any shift (days, graveyard, nights).
• Must meet minimum qualifications on or before the posted filing deadline.

Selected candidates must pass a department interview and a Department of Justice fingerprint prior to employment. Candidates for the Airports Department must also successfully pass an extensive background investigation, which may include a Computer Voice Stress Analyzer and/or polygraph test, and a department interview before employment.
