SUMMARYProvides instructional training related to 911 Telecommunications/Emergency Medical Dispatch (EMD) from nationally certified 911 curriculum.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS- Responsible for providing instruction and preparing lesson plans based on nationally certified 911 curriculum.
- Deliver training related to the Public Safety Telecommunications program.
- Continually promotes students’ development and effective use of skills in areas such as critical and analytical thinking, evaluation, communication, professionalism, customer service, computation, problem solving, and decision-making.
- Maintains accurate, up-to-date records of student academic and attendance performance.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Education and Experience/Training
- Associate’s Degree. Significant related experience may substitute for education.
- Minimum of five years of experience in Public Safety Communications.
- Advanced communication (verbal, written, and interpersonal) and organizational skills.
- Demonstrated proficiency in Word Processing and PowerPoint Presentation software, as well as Internet and Email basic skills.
- Ability to assess and grade the progress of students.
- Possess sensitivity to respond appropriately to the community.

Education and Experience/Training
- Associate’s Degree and certification in Telecommunications and EMD.
- Must be able to obtain all required Instructor certifications within 60 days of hire date.
- The work is performed in a normal, professional office environment.
- The work area is adequately lighted, heated, and ventilated.
- Employee may sit comfortably to perform the duties of the job and will perform repetitive motions with hands/fingers using a computer mouse and keyboard to type. The role may also involve walking, standing, bending, and carrying of light items such as papers, files, pamphlets, books, etc.
- Work may require walking and standing in conjunction with travel to and attendance at meetings and conferences away from the worksite.

Note:
This is a Part-Time Non-Bargaining Unit Position, with the following set rate of pay: $25.00 per hour.
To be eligible, applicants must reside in the state of Ohio and be within commuting distance of this work location/campus to respond to onsite work demands upon the employment start date and throughout the duration of employment with the College, as outlined in 3354:1-40-01.1 Recruitment and Selection Procedure.
