Registered Nurse DaVita Skilled Nursing Dialysis (DSD)

This position is based out of 7040 Hepburn Rd., Middleburg Heights, OH 44130, but will float to different locations around the greater Cleveland area and occasionally nearby regions.

Schedule:

3 days a week, 12+ hour shifts, no on‑call, alternating Saturdays required. Training will be provided.

Dialysis experience is preferred but not required. We offer a robust paid, hands‑on training program.

Primary work schedule will be 3‑4 days a week with required travel to other SNF clinics within your region (depending on business and patient needs).

DaVita Kidney Care brings industry‑leading clinical quality to patients on‑site at skilled nursing facilities (SNF) through a new team called DaVita Skilled Nursing Dialysis Services. About 10% of dialysis patients reside in a SNF and are transported to dialysis three times a week, adding significant burdens and avoidable costs. DSD teammates access all DaVita’s capabilities and resources to quickly develop infrastructure and grow the new service line.

Ideal teammates have dialysis experience, thrive in a start‑up environment, and have a track record of getting things done. They are comfortable working autonomously, and collaborate with cross‑functional resources across the organization.

What you can expect

In this role, you take responsibility for the complete ongoing care of each patient to ensure their dialysis treatment stays on track. DSD RNs troubleshoot and make sound decisions for patients related to dialysis treatment, occasionally partnering with SNF staff to coordinate care.

Patient education

As an RN, you are an educator. You will provide impactful and meaningful education to patients and their families in the SNF setting.

Direct patient care

The RN’s primary responsibility is to independently demonstrate best practice techniques and deliver optimal dialysis care. The role includes supervising dialysis technicians who deliver tandem care to meet capacity and efficiency goals of the program.

Complexity

DSD dialysis care is complex but fulfilling. Meeting and/or exceeding clinical outcomes are the goals, and multitasking is an expectation to meet the needs of the service, the patients, and SNF partners.

Autonomy and critical thinking

Provide comprehensive patient care in an independent setting. Plan to stay on your toes at all times. Use core nursing skills to assess, diagnose, and implement complete care plans for the whole patient. Witnessing the impact of your care on patients’ lives is rewarding.
