We are seeking a detail‑oriented and dependable Assistant Business Office Manager with healthcare experience to support our business office and ensure accurate financial operations.
The Assistant Business Office Manager is responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, managing billing and accounts receivable processes, and supporting the day‑to‑day financial operations of the facility. Experience in long‑term care billing, Medicaid/Medicare, and private pay processes is highly preferred.
Key Responsibilities- Manage accounts receivable, including billing, posting payments, and resolving account discrepancies
- Prepare and process monthly resident billing statements
- Assist with Medicaid eligibility, redeterminations, and required documentation
- Process vendor invoices, statements, and accounts payable
- Maintain general ledger entries and financial files
- Reconcile bank statements, accounts, and financial reports
- Assist with payroll processing and employee records (as applicable)
- Support month-end reporting and audits
- Communicate professionally with residents, families, and external agencies regarding billing inquiries
- Maintain confidentiality in all financial and resident‑related matters
- Assist business office and administration with additional tasks as needed
- Experience in long‑term care

, or healthcare bookkeeping strongly preferred - Working knowledge of Medicare, Medicaid, and private pay billing processes
- Proficiency with accounting software and Microsoft Office (Excel required)
- High level of accuracy, organization, and attention to detail
- Strong communication and customer‑service skills
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks in a fast‑paced environment
- High school diploma required; associate degree in accounting or related field preferred
