Adjunct Faculty, Computer Science (Networking)
Part‑time (adjunct) faculty position. Candidates will be interviewed and hired on an as‑needed basis throughout the academic year.
Department: Advanced Manufacturing & Computer Science
Location: College-Wide
Reports To: Associate Dean
Employment Type: Part‑Time Faculty
Work Schedule: To be determined based on business unit needs. Classes may be offered during the day, evening and/or weekend. Please indicate your availability when applying for this position.
Responsibilities:
- Teach a variety of courses, including but not limited to networking, networking hardware, software, security and administration.
- Prepare and deliver learning activities to achieve course outcomes.
- Prepare course materials such as syllabi, homework assignments and handouts.
- Evaluate and grade students’ class work, laboratory work, assignments, papers, and examinations.
- Maintain and submit student attendance records, grades and other required documentation by specified deadlines.
- Be available to students for coaching.
- Participate in periodic meetings with supervisors, the division, or the College relative to teaching duties, training and development.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Networking, Business, Education, or a related field.
- Minimum of 2 years industry/business experience in computer technology.
- Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (or equivalent).
- Advanced communication (verbal, written and interpersonal) and organizational skills.
- Appropriately responds to the needs of the community.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Teaching experience.
- Experience using a learning management system to deliver distance learning courses.
- Current computer industry certification in one of the following areas: networking, security, office applications, and/or database.

Pay Rate: $942.00 Equated Semester Unit (ESU)
Eligibility: Applicants must reside in the state of Ohio and be within commuting distance of the work location/campus to respond to onsite work demands from your employment start date and throughout the duration of your employment with the College.
