Director – Camp Invention®

Program Times: 9:00 a.m.
- 3:30 p.m.
Wage: $625 – $1,300, based on camp enrollment numbers (minimum enrollment required 35 participants). Includes one complimentary base‑price registration for the director’s immediate child.
Parma City School District partners with the National Inventors Hall of Fame® to offer Camp Invention®, a weeklong STEM enrichment program for children in grades K‑6. The program runs June 24, 2024 – June 28, 2024 and aims to inspire future innovators through inquiry‑based, hands‑on activities.
Camp Invention Directors and Instructors engage children through daily inventor stories, step‑by‑step instructions, guiding questions, and discussion prompts. Educators may apply skills learned during Camp Invention to their classroom, including project‑based learning, divergent and convergent thinking, open‑ended instruction, and team implementation techniques.
Key Qualifications- Flexible, creative, and enthusiastic.
- Passionate about engaging children.
- Interested in or experienced with student‑led learning.
- Inspire campers by leading daily hands‑on STEM activities.
- Promote the local program by distributing flyers and promotional items and being active on social media.
- Serve as liaison between the National Inventors Hall of Fame and the district.
- Recruit, hire, train, and supervise staff and volunteers.
- Coordinate site logistics, including student routines and safety.
- Perform any other duties required for successful program implementation.
