Adjunct Faculty, Construction Engineering Technology
Department: Advanced Manufacturing & Computer Science
Location: College-Wide
Reports To: Associate Dean
Employment Type: Part-Time Faculty (adjunct)
Work Schedule: To be determined based on business unit needs; classes may be offered during day, evening, and/or weekend. Availability to be indicated in application.
Job Description:
- Teaches a full range of lecture and lab courses in the Construction Engineering Technology (CNST) program, including construction orientation, CAD, cost estimates, construction scheduling, and project management.
- Prepares and delivers learning activities to achieve course outcomes.
- Prepares course materials such as syllabi, homework assignments, and handouts.
- Evaluates and grades students' work, including labs, assignments, papers, and examinations.
- Maintains and submits student attendance records, grades, and other required documentation by specified deadlines.
- Provides coaching to students as needed.
- Participates in periodic meetings with supervisors, division, or College regarding teaching duties and training/development.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Engineering, or Construction Management.
- Experience in construction project management, estimating, and scheduling.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (or equivalent).
- Strong verbal, written, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
- Responsive to the needs of the community.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Engineering, or Construction Management.
- Teaching experience.
- Experience with Win Est estimating software and Primavera P6 software.
- Completion of OSHA-500 and OSHA-510 training with at least five years of experience in the construction industry.

Compensation: $942.00 per Equated Semester Unit (ESU).
