Cake Decorator

Position Summary

As a Cake Decorator you will drive member service in your area to deliver more of what they love, for less. You will work collaboratively with other associates to ensure the total club meets the member’s expectations.

• Be a Team Member: collaborate with cross‑functional teams, help educate other associates on tools, tasks and resources, communicate and develop interpersonal skills for providing customer service, be flexible to the needs of the business, and maintain in‑stock levels and control shrinkage.
• Be an Expert: plan the bakery productions, ensuring consistency in quality and accuracy of bakery decorative designs, follow recipe measurement instructions, work with a variety of products (e.g., decorating bags, tips, nozzles), create decorative flowers and lettering on bakery items, and adhere to food safety standards, sanitation guidelines, cold‑chain compliance and inventory management.
• Be a Techie: leverage digital tools to drive sales, improve the shopping experience and elevate associate engagement, utilize handheld technology to make immediate business decisions related to production merchandise ordering, training and product quality with the member in mind, adapt to new tools and encourage others to use them.
• Be an Owner: drive the performance of the bakery area, ensuring quality and date‑control standards, eliminate waste, prepare for seasonal events that impact bakery volume (e.g., holidays, graduations, family events), identify member needs, assist members with purchasing decisions, and resolve member issues and concerns.
• Be a Talent Ambassador: serve as a brand advocate by valuing the member experience in Bakery, model high‑quality service and products, interact with associates to understand roadblocks, and assist in training, developing, influencing and inspiring them for working in a respectful, supportive and team‑oriented style.
• Comply with company policies, procedures and standards of ethics and integrity, implement related action plans and apply the Open Door Policy in executing business processes and practices.
• Complete work assignments and priorities using policies, data and resources, collaborate with managers, coworkers, customers and other business partners, identify priorities, deadlines and expectations, communicate progress and information, determine and recommend ways to address improvement opportunities and adapt to and learn from change, difficulties and feedback.

• 6 months' experience in a fresh production area.
• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Acknowledge that the position requires completing all required trainings and assessments within a prescribed time period if you receive the position.

• Additional compensation may include premiums ranging from $0.35 per hour to $3.00 per hour in specific circumstances.
