Donor Center Phlebotomist

• Assist with every step of the blood collection process at fixed-site donor centers
• Personally connect with donors, listen to their stories, and explain the impact of their donations
• Collaborate with teammates to create a welcoming and comfortable environment for volunteer donors
• Follow safety procedures while collecting lifesaving blood donations
• Ensure collected blood meets goals, regulatory requirements, and transfusion-safety standards
• Work between donor centers in Cleveland, Parma, and Akron, Ohio

• Associates degree OR a combination of education and work experience is required
• Minimum of one year customer service experience in public setting is required
• A current, valid driver's license with a good driving record is required
• Ability to lift, push or pull heavy weights up and down ramps and stairs
• Good manual dexterity
• Ability to sit or stand for long periods of time
• Ability to adapt to long, irregular hours and frequent schedule changes
• Basic computer skills
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications
• Prior healthcare or phlebotomy experience (CNA, MA, EMT, etc.) preferred
• Prior leadership experience preferred

Demonstrates proficiency in blood collection processes while ensuring compliance with safety and regulatory standards. Strong customer service skills and the ability to create a welcoming environment for donors are essential.
