Position:

Duration: 1 year contract + possible extensions
Pay Rate: $35-40/hr depending on years of experience
OT: 10 hours/week

Qualifications:
- 3+ years of experience in material operations, warehouse operations, logistics, inventory control, manufacturing, supply chain, or similar
- Experience with inventory control, material movement, receiving, shipping, or production support processes
- Strong with MS office – excel for reporting and data analysis
Plusses:
- Experience in automation or with automated fork trucks
- Experience with an ERP, warehouse management system, inventory management system, or manufacturing execution system.
- Experience in an automotive, manufacturing, distribution, or high-volume operating environment.
- Familiarity with lean manufacturing, continuous improvement, standardized work, or root-cause analysis.
- Experience using data to improve inventory accuracy, material availability, delivery performance, or operating efficiency.
Day to Day:
Insight Global is looking for a Material Operations Specialist in the Parma, Ohio area. The Material Operations Specialist will help to support the safe, efficient, and timely management and movement of launch materials throughout our operations. The specialist will coordinate material flow, monitor inventory accuracy, resolve supply and delivery issues, and partner with manufacturing, logistics, purchasing, and supplier teams to ensure the correct material is present, in the correct packaging requirements and available to run in production cells.
The specialist will be expected to be organized, safety-focused, comfortable working in a fast-paced environment, and able to use data and problem-solving skills to improve material availability and operational performance.
Additional Responsibilities:
- Coordinate the receipt, storage, staging, replenishment, and delivery of launch materials to support production and business requirements.
- Monitor inventory levels, material transactions, and location accuracy using CSMS and MGO or related systems.
- Investigate shortages, excesses, damaged materials, misroutes, and other discrepancies; document findings and drive corrective actions.
- Perform cycle counts and support physical inventories while maintaining accurate records and traceability.
- Communicate material priorities, delivery schedules, and risks to production, warehouse, logistics, purchasing, and supplier partners.
- Analyze material flow, inventory, and delivery data to identify trends, bottlenecks, and opportunities for improvement.
- Coordinate with internal and external logistics partners to support on-time deliveries and efficient material movement.
- Follow standard work, material-handling procedures, quality requirements, and all applicable safety and environmental policies.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives involving workflow, space utilization, inventory accuracy, cost reduction, and process standardization.
- Prepare status updates, operational reports, and escalation summaries for leadership and cross-functional teams.
- Participate in problem-solving activities, audits, process reviews, and implementation of new operating procedures.
- Support the launch of Automation as a means of moving material from storage to point of use
