Job Summary
Registered Nurse - Emergency Department (Parma, 72 Hours, Nights)
Location: Metro Health Parma Medical Center
Shift: 7p-7a; rotating weekends and holidays
Hours: Bi‑weekly 72 hours
Primary Patient Population- Acutely ill pediatric to adult patients
- Level 3 Trauma Center
- Patient assessments
- Patient triage
- Trauma care
- IV insertion, blood draws, Foley catheter insertion
- Time management, critical thinking, delegating
- Personnel will work with Paramedics, Patient Care Nursing Assistants (PCNAs), Providers
- Number of beds: 16 (expandable to 21)
- Awards:
Level 3 Trauma Center, Acute Stroke Ready

Required Qualifications- Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing (or a program seeking accreditation)
- Current Registered Nurse licensure in the State of Ohio
- Current AHA BLS and ACLS certifications or obtained within 90 days of hire
- Current PALS certification or obtained within 6 months of hire
- Current TNCC certification or obtained within 1 year of hire
- Current NIHSS Stroke certification obtained within 90 days of hire
- PRN RN must possess current certifications upon hire
- BSN
- Professional Certification recognized by the Magnet Association
